Rural high-school
The Rural Colleague Project quickly imposed itself on the educational team of the Diaglé primary school. Indeed, the means provided by the association and the quality of teaching of the teachers as well as their motivation could only lead to having to solve the challenge of a very high success rate in the entrance exam in 6th and respond to it with appropriate means.
It is for these reasons that for several years, the director of the Primary School Mr Ngor Diop has taken the many steps necessary to obtain authorization to open a rural college in Diaglé in order to pursue the success of CM2 pupils in the region.
With our partnership with the school for several years and the results obtained to cite the Diaglé School as an example with the academy, we had the joy of learning during our visit in March 2016 that the authorization the competent educational authorities were on the right track for the project of the rural college (CEM) which will benefit the whole region and the many primary schools far from the existing college of Fatik.
The construction of the college will be done in several phases following the means that ALEDD will have successfully mobilized:

PHASE 1 : construction of 3 classrooms, a first toilet block and 2 administrative offices.
> Phase completed in Sept 2017 .

PHASE 2 : construction of 2 additional classrooms.
> Phase completed in Sept 2018 .

PHASE 3 : construction of 2 additional classrooms and the second toilet block.
> Phase launched in February 2020

PHASE 4 : construction of 2 additional classrooms.

PHASE 5 : construction of an additional classroom, a teachers' room and a multi-sports field.

In 2016, in partnership with the municipality of Mbellacadiao, a deliberation act for the sale of land was voted, and the village of Diaglé made available to the association the land of approximately 1 hectare north of the village. When signing the memorandum of understanding with the local authorities in order to obtain the necessary authorizations from the Academic Inspectorate and National Education for the creation of a college in Diaglé, a symbolic remittance by hand of the construction plans are made in the presence of the co-founders of ALEDD.
This land must accommodate an administrative building for teachers and administrators, several blocks of two rooms each and two boys and girls sanitary blocks.

How can we still do better ?! Of course, only everything obviously depends on the resources that we will have in this promising future ...
The next stages of this project :
- Complete Phases 4 - two additional classrooms - and Phase 5 - an additional classroom & teachers' room, plus a multi-sports field - to reach the capacity initially planned for 10 rural college classes.
- Find a partner who wants to support us in this crazy adventure to finance the additional expenses estimated at 10 million CFA francs.
